This cheater quilt was my first ever to put together. A cheater quilt is designed to look like patchwork or applique so that you do not have to do the piecework and just quilt and bind the fabric to make a finished quilt. They are a lot of fun to design. It's kind of like putting a puzzle together using fun colors and different designs. The ladybugs were inspired by my dear friend who asked me to design ladybugs for her sweet daughter's first birthday. End result was 16 different fabrics and 2 cheater quilts to choose from. I love being asked to design something special for people that they have in mind. If I have time what I tend to do is to make a variety of different fabrics of the same theme so that the client has many to choose from. I'm also always willing to adjust sizing of the design and colors to better suit the needs of the client.
